At AFW Plastering, we specialise in the application of sprayed layered insulation cork systems across Norfolk, delivering breathable, energy-efficient solutions for both modern and historic properties.
Our recent project in Long Stratton involved installing a sprayed layered insulation cork system on a Grade II listed building with traditional wattle and daub walls. This type of system is ideal for heritage properties, as it provides insulation while maintaining full breathability.
The process begins with careful surface preparation, including removing non-breathable coatings and stabilising the existing substrate. We then apply a trowel-on cork basecoat, followed by multiple layers of sprayed cork using professional equipment. Each sprayed layered insulation cork system we install is built up in coats to ensure durability, flexibility, and consistent performance.
